Sarah Targett
Sarah is a Consultant (Chartered Legal Executive) within the Private Client team. Sarah qualified in 2012.
Sarah can advise on:
- Wills - advising on and preparing wills for individuals or couples, to include mirror Wills, life interest or discretionary trust Wills
- Lasting Powers of Attorney – providing advice on drafting and the registration of both types of Lasting Powers, namely Property and Financial and Health and Welfare decisions
- Advance Directives – preparation of statements with regard to medical treatment decisions
- Grant of Probate – undertaking the preparation of all forms required to obtain a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration (where someone dies without a Will) including advising on Inheritance Tax
- Administration of a Deceased’s Estate – undertaking all work required to obtain a Grant of Probate/Letters of Administration and thereafter the realisation of the Deceased’s assets, settlement of all debts and the distribution of the Deceased’s net assets
- Estate Planning – providing advice on Inheritance Tax planning, including lifetime gifts, and Care Home fees.
- The Management of Affairs – for vulnerable or incapacitated adults
Did you Know:
Sarah completed a Master’s degree in Mental Health Law in 2019 and has a special interest in issues of capacity for elder clients, she is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an accredited member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers and a licensed probate practitioner with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC). She is also dementia friendly.
Sarah is a trustee of her City of London livery company charity. She has a particular interest in contemporary pewter design and her favourite travel destination is Patagonia and beyond.
